En 2019 j’ai élargi l’éventail de mes activités en devenant illustrateur pour un projet d’une grande fresque historique qui sera affichée sur un bâtiment nouvellement construit sur la pointe du Grognon à Namur. Il s’agissait de mettre en valeur les découvertes archéologiques importantes qui ont eu lieu sur le site même de ce nouveau bâtiment, en représentant le Grognon et ses habitants à travers les âges.

Ces paysages et personnages en très grands formats m’ont posé un grand défi qui m’a bien occupé pendant le confinement, et m’a permis d’échapper aux terribles conséquences que celui-ci a eu (et a encore) sur les artistes. Merci donc à Laurent Sick et Kascen pour cette stimulante proposition.

In 2019 I became illustrator for a historical fresco which will be part of a soon-to-be-finished building complex on the Grognon area in Namur, near the Parliament of Wallonia. The task was to highlight the important archeological discoveries that were made on that same spot, by illustrating the Grognon and its inhabitants through the ages.

These giant landscapes and characters offered me a great challenge, and kept me very busy during the Corona lockdown, allowing me to escape the terrible consequences that it had (and still have) on artists. Thanks to Laurent Sick and Kascen for this stimulating proposal.
